STOP
Stop is a public intervention that questions the rules we follow in public spaces. It starts from the idea that public space belongs to everyone, and asks us to think about how we use and share it.
A traffic sign usually has a clear purpose: it tells us what to do and helps keep us safe. But when a traffic sign is taken out of its usual context, its meaning changes. What was once a clear instruction becomes an open question. This work invites people to stop and think, both literally and figuratively. On a personal level, it asks: what do I need to stop and think about? On a wider level, it asks: what should we, as a society, stop doing?
