Public play
As adults, we often find ourselves burdened with responsibilities, and it's easy to become so serious that we forget the joy of playing. Despite having played extensively during childhood, many adults engage in play less frequently as they grow older.
Public Play explored the importance of adults continuing to play. Playing allows us to adapt to unexpected situations and serves as a remedy for stress. When we play we become fully immersed in the activity, momentarily forgetting our surroundings, with the primary goal being pure enjoyment.
By performing various interventions in public spaces, adults were invited to play. The interactive installation was eventually designed by the outcomes of these interventions. The installation was created without rules, allowing each individual to interpret and engage with in in their own unique way. My ultimate objective is to motivate and inspire adults to incorporate more play into their lives.
